Simon Torrens, the rider of Streets Of Doyen (IRE), placed third, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from just before turning in.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when Streets Of Doyen (IRE), placed third, ridden by Simon Torrens, interfered with Stattler (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by P.
Townend.
Torrens was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Townend to momentarily ease his mount.
The winner, Vanillier (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Leopardstown on 6 February 2021 where the gelding finished tenth of thirteen, beaten by 59 lengths.
Gavin Cromwell’s explanation that his yard had been out of form and that his horses now appeared to be running well was noted.
Vanillier (FR) was routine tested.
The performance of Fakiera (FR), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Mrs Denise Foster could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Fakiera (FR), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Adrimel (FR), which was pulled up, had lost its left hind shoe and that N'golo (IRE), unplaced, had lost its left fore shoe.
