The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning for home involving Cuban Grey (GB), ridden by J.M
Sheridan, placed sixth, Hezahunk, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, and Adams Barbour ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced, where it appeared there was slight contact between the three. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Billboa (GB), trained by W.P.Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked right at the gate
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Cuban Grey (GB), trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right down the straight
The Raceday Stewards interviewed O. McSweeney, rider of Samrogue, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, O. McSweeney accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied O. McSweeney was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for five racedays.
