R.C. Colgan, rider of Danz Gift trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got stopped with his run about one furlong from the finish
R. Coakley, rider of Lapilli (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lapilli (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and confirmed that the animal had blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage
S.M. Crosse, rider of Hedonism trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped out of the stalls slowly and at a later stage she hung left in the straight
The Stewards enquired into an incident about 200 yards from the finish involving Danz Gift, ridden by R.C
Colgan, placed sixth, Lapilli (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced and Mr Shelby, ridden by D.P. Davis, unplaced, where it appeared that Lapilli (GB) ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Donohoe, trainer of Mr Shelby, accompanied D.P. Davis at this enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by D.P. Davis riding carelessly this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned D.P. Davis
Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Mr Shelby, trained by S. Donohoe, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
