J. Kearney, rider of Mr King, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned a bit right in the straight
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving La Tulipe Noire, ridden by C. Horgan, Sirjack Thomas, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Starting Monday, ridden by P.A. Harnett, and Andalusian Star, ridden by M.W Hassett where it appeared that Andalusian Star ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Horgan stated that he was slowly into stride along with others and took back after getting tight for room. Adam Caffrey stated that he got tight for room from both sides. P.A. Harnett stated that he got pressure from both sides and felt four horses ended up where there was room for three. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount jumped left out of the stalls and was initially slow to pick up and when he encouraged his mount, it over reacted by picking up the bit and taking off. He said his mount was very scatty at this stage and caused things to get tight before striking the railing a few strides later while still running free. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise M.W. Hassett to be mindful of how green animals can react to his signals and how quickly incidents can happen as a result
M.W Hassett, rider of Andalusian Star, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room early in the race.
