The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Eastern Racer, ridden by K.J. Leonard, Mutadaawel, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, Mulzamm, ridden by J.M. Sheridan and Pepperoni Pete, ridden by J.P
Shinnick, where it appeared Mulzamm got tight for room on the rails. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan gave his evidence in the presence of J. McAuley. J.P. Shinnick gave his evidence in the presence of S. Lyons. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found K.J. Leonard in breach of Rule 214 through careless riding and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day. The Stewards further found D.E. Sheehy in breach of Rule 214 through careless riding and having taken his record into account cautioned him
