The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend into the straight involving Cautious Approach (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Tennesse Waltz, ridden by O.J. Orr, Ingelara, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Red Bloodedcruiser (GB), ridden by T.P. Madden, Rockafilly (FR), ridden by C.G. O'Dwyer and Film Noir, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of C Persse, who accompanied S.M. Crosse and C O'Dwyer, who accompanied C.G. O'Dwyer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action
