The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Marshall Jennings, ridden by T.P. Madden, Tintoretto, ridden by N.G. McCullagh and Annie Fior, ridden by A.J. Farragher, where it appeared Tintoretto ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Farragher was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly.
