I'm very grateful for their support. This is a nice horse to have. He's quirky and kicked the box the whole way from Carlow, but he's tough and we'll find something at Galway for him. He wouldn't want the ground any quicker than this. I thought the horse (Mythical Rock) in the maiden was going to be my first winner, I was walking in thinking he had it, but he's run a blinder (in second) and has really come on for his first run. He's another nice horse to have in the yard. I was head lad for Emmet Mullins for two years and then I pre-trained for Jessie (Harrington) for two years as well. C.T. Keane, rider of See Me Through, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference on the bend and half way up the straight
L.T. McAteer, rider of Brave Troop, trained by Alan McIntyre, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right when he hit the front and leaned right in the closing stages
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Brave Troop, ridden by L.T
McAteer, placed first, and See Me Through, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, where it appeared that contact was made between both horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.T. Keane stated that he suffered interference from the winner on the bend and again in the home straight. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount was a very difficult ride and felt that he had made every effort to correct his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
J.J.G. Ryan, rider of River Derwent (GB), trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
