Dundalk Wed, 11th Dec, 2024  The Real Screamer The last day, unfortunately for Leigh Roche, he couldn't do the weight just because it was winter time - he can normally do it. He was going to be over and we didn't want to carry overweight. I wouldn't take away a winning partnership and he (Hayes) is a very good jockey. He is just very hard to get at times. I like trying to use jockeys that I can use on a regular basis. I'm not a bad judge - they normally turn out good jockeys! (Robert) Whearty was the last one, but Noel Meade has latched on there!. He might not come back here - he is just a bit immature. I'd love to give him a break, but it is up to the owner really. I think a break will mature his mind. I don't think he will have any problem with the turf. I think he was just immature last year. You can see him being a bit bold in the stalls there, he's a bit of a baby now. That is all it is.

Dundalk Fri, 15th Nov, 2024  The Real Screamer I think that is Chris' first winner for me - he hasn't ridden too much for me as he is always booked and he's too good to ride for me! . They went a savage pace and he picked it up and did it well. . We thought he was well handicapped on his homework, but he has been really disappointing. . He ran well in Navan actually and just maybe did too much on possibly too stiff a track. Then we thought on Navan to drop him back to a mile and that didn't work either. . Basically, we were going to give up. I said I thought he would like the surface and we took a chance and it really worked.
