Quotes on Ballyburn (IRE)
Dermot pioneered going down to Australia and won the Belmont Stakes, an American Triple Crown race. He’s done superb things, so to be mentioned alongside him is fantastic. We were delighted with the way our fella finished. He's still not mature and he's racing too much throughout the race. Once he learns to settle a bit more and use his power at the end of the race I think he's going to a super horse. We can go either direction with him. Two miles, two-and-a-half and on his pedigree he can go out to three miles. I was just chatting to his point-to-point rider and he said he's a fabulous jumper of a fence so we have all that to put into the mix and see what direction we got in the future. A few of ours ran a bit flat earlier in the day and we were wondering would this fella do the same but he didn't. Good horses just dig deep and they do it.After Ballyburn (IRE) finished 1st at Punchestown on Fri, 3rd May 2024 2m 4f Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Daddy Long Legs (FR)
he showed a huge turn of foot. He was in front way too soon, and I'm sure Paul would have kicked himself but he said to me the horse just carried him and he didn't want to disappoint him. He's a horse that could go back on the Flat and is maybe one for Royal Ascot. He's still a maiden on the Flat, he's only had one run when finishing second in France. I'd say he's very ground dependent, in winter time in heavy ground he wasn't able to handle it but on this ground it seems to be a different ball game. He surprised me, especially after being in Ludlow last week. To come back from England and do that in a big handicap is good. After Daddy Long Legs (FR) finished 1st at Punchestown on Tue, 30th Apr 2024 2m Hcap Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Fils d'Oudairies (FR)
We were waiting for the news (on Friday) and he had put in a good shift to get back but it didn't happen for him. He is a big player in the whole team and hopefully will be at Cheltenham shouting us on. I've learned not to get too excited (about Cheltenham) until after it but even if I wasn't riding I'd be excited as I love it and it is a marvellous time of year. I thought it was a nice performance by Fils D'ourdairies - obviously we thought the favourite (Saint Sam) was going to be very hard to beat and Davy gave him a nice ride. He was quick out the gates and took a lead the whole way. He's a good horse on his day when things go right for him and it's nice for Davy to come back on a winner. After Fils d'Oudairies (FR) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sun, 5th Mar 2023 2m 2f Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on No Looking Back (IRE)
he won his bumper here the same way, when he came down the hill he showed a good turn of foot, was interested in what he was doing and went on and won,. His jumping was pretty ok, I think he'll be sharper the next day but I'm delighted with him. He is a grand horse and is a half-brother to (stablemate) Unexpected Depth. We have no plan and came here today to see how he'd behave and perform. I'd say he'll run at Christmas but I'm not sure he likes heavy ground, yielding or soft ground probably suits him. After No Looking Back (IRE) finished 1st at Thurles on Thu, 1st Dec 2022 1m 7f Maiden Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Sir Gerhard (IRE)
Asterion Forlonge always likes to jump right, that's just his way of doing it but overall he jumped well. His jumping isn't going to change now with his age but it was a good performance. We went a nice gallop, didn't hang around and it is nice to get another win with him. I gave him a pop yesterday and he has always been a very good jumper at home and just has his own way of doing it. He is a high class horse and was bang there in those top Grade 1 chases so the ability is there. He has been around a long time, he has been a right horse and they (himself and Sir Gerhard) are two top horses so it is great to get the opportunity to ride them. After Sir Gerhard (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Sun, 31st Mar 2024 2m Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Smooth Tom (IRE)
He's a versatile horse and I think he'll stay two miles,. I forgot to enter him for the Irish Cesarewitch this year and I'd say it will suit him. We might run him in the Grade 3 hurdle at Down Royal on Friday week if he's alright and give him a little break then. The handicapper can't touch him there at the weights as the second is rated 86. There is also the Listed Finale Stakes back here on the last day but I'll probably run him over hurdles, he likes small fields. He ran well the last day, it was kind of a non event with Daddy Long Legs going out in front and he didn't follow him. He rode for second and got second. He was second in the Lincoln as well this year so he's very versatile. Keith Donoghue rode him in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last year and thought he'd be an ideal horse for a Galway Hurdle but we had to give him a break at that stage. Adam is a very good rider. A few things went wrong for him this year and he's gone through a lean spell so it's great for him to get a winner. He's well able to ride. After Smooth Tom (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Tue, 22nd Oct 2024 1m 4f Flat Soft

Quotes on State Man (FR)
It's so simple to ride this lad and that's probably why I have such a soft spot for him. You can leave the weighroom, get to the start, make it up as you go along and he'll get you out of trouble. He's not flashy, he does what he has to do and that's probably why he keeps winning because he keeps a little bit in the locker. When you're riding him, you're confident on him and then you just have to keep him up to his work. We were wondering what tactics Jack would use and the game went according to how we thought it would go. He just did what he normally does, pulled it out when he needed to pull it out. Paul said there was a cameraman on the line and he stopped to have a look and prick his ears at him. That's the sort of horse he is, he's just got lots of talent and he keeps doing it which is huge. He's very uncomplicated, he's uncomplicated in his stable, he's an old pet. After State Man (FR) finished 1st at Punchestown on Fri, 3rd May 2024 2m Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Winter Fog (IRE)
That fella did it nicely and Kieran is a good young rider, cool kid, and he deserves a lot of the credit for it. He rides a lot of his work at home. We brought him back to two miles, he was running over longer trips last year but his homework suggested he would be capable of being competitive over two miles. Quotes on Brighterdaysahead (FR)
We didn’t want it turning into a sprint – we kind of thought Paul (Townend, on Daddy Long Legs) might try to stack them up in front. I said to Sam ‘look, go out and go a good gallop the whole way’. He said it wasn’t ideal because she was looking around in front the whole way. He said she had a good blow and she will come on plenty from it. If she had winged the last two, she would have won a couple of lengths. She is never going to win more than what she is going to, but it’s great to win. After Brighterdaysahead (FR) finished 1st at Down Royal on Fri, 1st Nov 2024 2m Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Lossiemouth (FR)
It was a good test today. Only scare was up the side when Rachael was dropping back. I wanted to pop and she(Lossiemouth) had a cut at it. It's a privilege to ride both(her and State Man). I hope they stay apart for as long as possible. She didn't jump with same fluency but I think probably Paul was trying to settle her so that she didn't get going too quick. They went a very fast gallop and he was happy enough to let her settle. Off that gallop it was a great performance. Paul wanted to keep the lid on for want of a better word. I think she has done enough for the year now. All being well, she will go for the Champion Hurdle next year, That's the plan at the moment. After Lossiemouth (FR) finished 1st at Punchestown on Sat, 4th May 2024 2m 4f Hurdle Soft
