The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approaching the one furlong marker involving Blackpoint, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Surviving Murmansk, ridden by Adrian O'Shea, unplaced, and No Hassle, ridden by J.M
Sheridan, placed first, where it appeared that No Hassle may have tightened Surviving Murmansk when manoeuvering out to make her challenge. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gloves Off, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race
The Raceday Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. P.L. Malone, that Adrian O'Shea, rider of Surviving Murmansk loaded his mount unassisted into stall number ten instead of stall number eight. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr P.L. Malone confirmed his report which was not contested by Adrian O'Shea. He added that the error was rectified. The rider admitted that he knew the rider that he was drawn beside but through human error went into the wrong stall without the assistance of any stalls handler. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Adrian O'Shea was in breach of Rule 208 (iv) by failing to ensure that his mount entered the correct allocated starting stall. Having taken his clean previous record in this regard into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended Adrian O'Shea for one raceday
