The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.M. Quirke, rider of Krabat, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.M. Quirke was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion
Derek McGrath, rider of Spyglass Hill trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never jumped or travelled
G.B. Noonan, rider of Dont Go Yet trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.
