The Stewards enquired into an incident on the home turn involving Nearly Nama'd, ridden by B. Browne, Kylecrue, ridden by Mr L. Quinlan, and De Benno, ridden by C.A. Landers, where it appeared De Benno ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found B. Browne in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record in this regard into account suspended him for one race day
A. Ring, rider of Damut, trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled and pulled up.
