The Stewards interviewed Mr C.J. Daniels, rider, in relation to his riding in the straight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt his mount had run his race and he elected to pull up before two out, however as he went to pull up, his mount found a second wind and tried to jump the fence. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
