The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident three furlongs from home involving Team Of Firsts (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes,unplaced, Lord Erskine, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed first, and Longclaw (USA), ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third, where it appeared Team Of Firsts was hampered. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.D. Hayes stated that he received pressure from his outside at the three furlong pole
G.M. Ryan stated that when Lord Erskine was crossing to the rail he had to check forcing him to hamper Team Of Firsts. Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Lord Erskine, stated that she felt she was clear of horses on her inside when crossing to meet the rail at the three furlong pole. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satified that no further action was warranted. .
