The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rumi (GB), trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards requested a report from Luke Comer, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Three Comets (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent run at Down Royal on the 2nd September when finishing thirteenth of fifteen runners to the winner Sheishybrid. James T. Gorman, Authorised representative for Luke Comer, reported that their charge did not get the run of the race at Down Royal whereas today, under instruction, the animal raced wide and delivered his challenge from a wide position which ensured a clear run.
