P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Emancipator, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter
The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.P. O'Connor, rider of Optional Mix, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R.10 and he apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that he was in breach of R.10.3(g) and having considered his record they cautioned M. P. O'Connor on this occasion
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Emancipator, trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
