Tramore Mon, 14th Apr, 2025  Island McCoo He ran a nice race the last day at Limerick (in seventh) and we thought that he'd run a nice race here today. We thought that the ground had kind of gone for him because it's a little bit soft, but he seemed to be happy enough on it. The owners do a good bit of work with him, they get him going for me and then send him down. His owners kind of tell me what to do with him, they are good men, they know where to go and they told me to come down here. It took me four hours, but they told me to come! We had one finish third earlier as well, so it's all good. That's my fourth winner now and I have 10 in at the moment. I have more for the summer, as the tracks near me are all back on.

Thurles Sat, 15th Mar, 2025  Hewick TJ (McDonald, owner) had no problem with Paddy riding the horse and his own father Terry was only buried three weeks ago. So, with my own father passing away last year and my mother being here today, this is just brilliant.

Naas Sun, 9th Mar, 2025  Bushmans Pass we’re delighted and it was a great ride by Phillip. The plan was to ride him forward and if they take him on, they take him on. At Punchestown the last day, he got tied up in the middle of a bunch of horses and wasn’t comfortable at any stage. It was borderline whether we were going to run him as I said if the ground was drying out, there was no point as he has had leg trouble. In the past, we thought he wanted loose soft ground but maybe we’re wrong. There was a fair bunch of staying chasers coming to the last: they were all there and I couldn’t believe that had the boot to pick up again after jumping the last. he’ll get an entry in the Irish National and could be a horse for it. His race the last day in Punchestown was 3m4f and maybe he doesn’t stay that in soft ground but in ground like today’s, might be happy over it. He wasn’t pulling up at the line anyway.
