An enquiry was held to consider interference going into the first bend involving Ici La Reine (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jonjo O’Neill Jr and Lunar Discovery (GB), unplaced, ridden by Charlotte Jones.
The interference was found to be accidental as in a tightly packed field, a free running Ici La Reine (IRE) edged left-handed at the same time as a hard pulling July Flower (FR), unplaced, shifted slightly right- handed causing Lunar Discovery (GB) to be badly hampered when running out of racing room.
Shortly after entering the home straight, the rider of Baby Sage (GB), unplaced, had to switch sharply right- handed to avoid the heels of a weakening Seeyouinmydreams (GB), unplaced, and made contact with Jolie Coeur Allen, placed fifth, resulting in both runners being hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Seeyouinmydreams (GB), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, beaten by 60 lengths, was considered.
Harry Cobden reported that the mare ran too free on this occasion and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Seeyouinmydreams (GB), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Magic Dawn, unplaced, bled from the nose.
