It's great for Baraweez to come back here four years in a row and Dream Walker has now won it two years in a row. It's a matter of keeping them right and keeping their heads right. Dream Walker has run three or four times this year and never lifted a leg but he obviously likes it here. All the jockeys have given them great rides. It's a dream result to have the first three home and to win this race four years in a row. I think Baraweez will come back for the Irish Champions Weekend. He won it two years ago, and ideally on good ground he'll be a better horse. He seems to be coming back to form which is good. B Ellison, trainer
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Riven Light, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fifth, Dream Walker (FR), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, Stenographer (USA), ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced and Not A Bad Oul Day, ridden by, P.J.Smullen unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action. M.C. Hussey, rider of Penwortham trained by Richard Fahey (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.
An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards which are EBF eligible and that, at entry, have run at least twice under any Rules of Racing and are eligible for a handicap rating (105 = 9st 12lb) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 12lb Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra; for each race won.
