He'll mix away between flat and hurdles and last year he ran two races in Galway so we'll work back from that now. Dylan said he appreciated the step up in distance on that quicker ground although when he won at Galway last year, it was soft enough towards the end of the week so I don't think he is ground-dependent. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the home turn involving The Tide Turns (GB), ridden by D.P
McDonogh, unplaced, Sign From Above, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, Corky, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced and Metamorpheus, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth where it appeared an incident occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that he was retreating through the field and it got a bit tight at that point on the bend. D.P. McDonogh stated that it got tight at that point on the bend and he was receiving pressure from his outside. C.D. Hayes stated that it was tight riding at that point on the bend also. D. McMonagle stated that he was holding his line on the outside and feels he did not contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
