M.P. O'Connor, rider of The Dawn (FR), trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room at the end of the back straight but it made no difference to his finishing position. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
G.B. Noonan, rider of Restless Lady, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up
