The Stewards interviewed I.J. Power, rider of More Wine Lilly, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that I.J. Power was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays
G.B. Noonan, rider of Rathnaleen Tou trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running. This was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer
The Stewards interviewed C. Brassil, rider of All The Chimneys, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach both of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended C. Brassil for 8 racedays.
