The Stewards enquired into an incident in the early stages of this race involving Attack At Dawn, ridden by C.D
Hayes, Dubai Is Great (GB), ridden by C.P. Hoban and The Next Abbey, ridden by C.G. O'Dwyer, where it appeared that Attack At Dawn and Dubai Is Great ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Martin Brown accompanying C.G. O'Dwyer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards could not apportion any blame for the incident and they therefore took no further action.
