The Stewards interviewed Gordon Elliott, trainer of Synopsis(GB), concerning the late withdrawal of his charge owing to going. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that his charge was present on the racecourse along with the owners and that it was his intention to run the animal, but having walked sections of the track and consulted with his rider from the second race, he felt Synopsis(GB) would need more of an ease and therefore withdrew his charge at 13.37. He accepted that the ground had improved since declaration time, but stated that he had expected more rain to fall which failed to materialise. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the late withdrawal on this occasion and took no further action
B.J. Cooper, rider of Chisholm Trail trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount went lame and was pulled up
R.C. Colgan, rider of Our Rachael trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left through out and was pulled up thereafter
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chisholm Trail, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
