The Stewards fined Moses McCabe, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Asitsohappens, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order
The Stewards requested a report from John G. Carr, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fergiethelegend, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Carr stated that having run his charge over the banks seemed to sweeting him up and felt a combinatation of a lesser race had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation
P.T. Enright, rider of Flathertys Gap trained by Leonard Whitmore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tird quickly and pulled up thereafter
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Quickasyoucan trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly
Liam Casey, trainer of Betterthanalright, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge coughed post race The Stewards interviewed J.M. Moore, rider of Asitsohappens, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Veterinary officer Mr A. Tyrrell, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg 10 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive force and having taking his previous record into account cautioned him with regard to his future responsibilities.
