Permission was given for Newyorkstateofmind (GB) to go early to post.
Leaving the back straight a free running El Hombre (GB), placed fifth, had to be checked off the heels of the winner, Kit Gabriel (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching and passing the final furlong involving Motagally (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, and NOGO’S DREAM, placed second, ridden by George Rooke.
The interference was found to be accidental as initially, Motagally (GB), had lugged right- handed off the home bend at the same time as NOGO’S DREAM, leant left-handed, resulting in them making light contact on numerous occasions before latterly NOGO’S DREAM quickened up and shifted quickly left-handed into the path of Motagally (GB), causing O’Neill to take a check.
Following the race, Dylan Hogan reported that Newyorkstateofmind (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
