Permission was given for both Fifty Year Storm (IRE) and Kessaar Power (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for How Impressive (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately one furlong after the start involving Kessaar Power (IRE), unplaced, ridden by John Egan; Mellys Flyer (GB), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Muscutt; Fifty Year Storm (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Luke Morris; How Impressive (IRE), placed second, ridden by Taylor Fisher and The Princes Poet (GB), unplaced, ridden by George Downing.
Egan was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Mellys Flyer (GB), causing Muscutt to take a significant check in order to avoid his heels which resulted in Mellys Flyer (GB) then shifting right-handed making contact with Fifty Year Storm (IRE), which was hampered and in turn slightly inconvenienced How Impressive (IRE).
The Stewards then found that How Impressive had overreacted to the interference when racing freely and shifted sharply right-handed causing The Princes Poet (GB) to be checked.
Shortly after leaving the stalls, The Princes Poet (GB), unplaced, shifted left-handed briefly impeding Beauzon (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Beauzon (GB), unplaced, was outpaced early.
Taylor Fisher reported that How Impressive (IRE), placed second, was slowly away.
