Permission was given for Girl From Ipanema (IRE) to go early to post and Nurse Florence (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
Cam Hardie was questioned regarding his riding of Wispering Angel (IRE), placed eighth, in the home straight, specifically surrounding his use of the whip inside the final furlong and what appeared to be an air shot.
Hardie explained that the filly had lugged left-handed for much of the home straight, forcing him to pull his stick through to the left-hand in order to correct Wispering Angel (IRE).
However, during this process he became unbalanced but maintained that in his opinion the strike had made contact, albeit very lightly.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Wispering Angel (IRE), placed eighth, was slowly into stride and Grace McEntee reported that Smart Qibili (USA), placed seventh, ran too freely in the early stages.
