Permission was given for Arfinn Rose (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
A query was raised to consider why Scott Dixon was running Arfinn Rose (GB) here at Yarmouth on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Yarmouth on 5 August 2021 on ground with the same official description.
Dixon’s representative stated that in their opinion, the ground today was riding easier than it was last week and were therefore happy for the gelding to take his chance.
The winner, PRISCILLA’S WISH, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Yarmouth on 7 July 2021 where the filly finished seventh of eight, beaten by 8 lengths.
It was noted that Philip McBride could offer no explanation for the filly's improved form other than Priscilla's Wish (GB) may have benefited from being ridden with more restraint on this occasion.
The filly was routine tested.
