Permission was given for Global Esteem (IRE) to go early to post.
As this request was submitted late, Dywer was cautioned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
Permission was also given for Garth Rockett (GB) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post; the gelding also wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
The Starter reported that Garth Rockett (GB) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 5:40pm.
Mike Murphy was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Angus Villiers, the rider of Mutabaahy (IRE), drawn 3, was slow to remove the blindfold, resulting in the gelding being slowly away.
Villiers' explanation that the blindfold became stuck on the bridle and took two attempts to remove was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 3½ furlongs out involving Diamond Dougal (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan and the winner, Power Over Me (IRE), ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
O’Neill was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of a free running Diamond Dougal, causing Ryan to take a slight check.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Turanga Leela (GB), placed third, lost its left-hind shoe.
