Permission was given for Asad (IRE) to go to post early and for Strong Power (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries which was removed at the start.
Inside the final furlong, the winner DEVIL’S ANGEL, edged left at the same time as Ghathanfar (IRE), placed second, edged right, causing Spartan Fighter (GB), placed sixth, to be short of room.
However after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of DEVIL’S ANGEL or Ghathanfar (IRE).
Following the race, Paul Hanagan reported that Where's Mick (IRE), placed seventh, was briefly short of room and had to take a check inside the final furlong.
