Leaving the stalls, Rhythm (IRE), placed third, jumped right as the winner, Lady Celia (GB) jumped left interfering with Elegant Erin (IRE), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, Graham Lee reported that Elegant Erin (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference at the start and Joanna Mason reported that Rhythm (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run 1 ½ furlongs out.
