To win a feature race at Galway is like a Cheltenham winner to me or having one at Royal Ascot. The Stewards enquired into an incident on the run into the dip involving Run For Mary, ridden by Mr P. Byrnes, Mister Blue Sky, ridden by Ms M.J. Horsman, and Mutadaffeq, ridden by Mr M.J. O'Hare, where it appeared Mutadaffeq ran short of room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. P. Byrnes in breach of Rule 214 (Careless riding) and having taken his record into account cautioned the rider
Mr M.J. O'Hare, rider of Mutadaffeq, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got tight for room coming down the hill.
