He is rated 125 over hurdles and there were a few of them that were around the same hurdles rating. He's not totally in love with bottomless ground and the loose horse was giving him terrible trouble coming to the last but he was brilliant and ground it out. The Stewards interviewed D.J. McInerney, rider of King Alex (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, Stewards were satisfied that D.J
McInerney was in breach of both Regulation 10.3(f)(force) and (g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 5 racedays.
