The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Love Mocha (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Cyber Attack, ridden by R. Whearty, placed fifth, Td's Approach, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed fourth, and Western Cape, ridden by D. King, placed second, where it appeared that Cyber Attack got a bit tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R. Whearty stated that he received some pressure from his inside. D. King stated that he felt that he kept a straight line before and after the road crossing. Siobhan Rutledge stated that her mount was green and jumped the road crossing causing him to drift out slightly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bedelia, placed first, as compared with its recent form at Cork on the 17th May and Gowran Park on the 5th June
Gavin Cromwell reported that his charge was ridden prominently in both previous races and travelled well but stopped when other horses came around her. He added that today she was left a little at the start and settled in a fast run race before coming wide to challenge and enjoyed passing horses in the closing stages. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
