Mark Usher was fined £140 as the record of vaccinations in the passport of Padura Brave (GB) did not comply with the Rules of Racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Sir Canford (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Charles Bishop, Savoy Brown (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Kieren Fox, and Ramatuelle (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Luke Morris.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ramatuelle (GB) shied right-handed away from Zappiness (USA), unplaced, giving Sir Canford (IRE) a bump and causing Ramatuelle (GB) to then run on to the heels of Savoy Brown (GB), resulting in Morris having to take a check.
Sir Canford (IRE), placed fifth, lost its left cheekpiece approximately 5 furlongs out.
The cheekpiece was inspected and as it was found to be in a serviceable condition, no further action was taken.
The performance of Zappiness which finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Peter Chapple-Hyam could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Padura Brave (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure.
