Cameron Noble, the rider of Geetanjali (IRE), was slow to remove the blindfold, resulting in his horse being slow to start.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Noble’s explanation that the blindfold became caught on the cheekpieces and required two attempts to remove was noted.
Following the race, Cameron Noble reported that Geetanjali (IRE), placed third, was slowly away and Hector Crouch reported that Narjes (GB), placed seventh, was slowly away.
