An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Thunderoad (GB), placed second, ridden by Shane Kelly, interfered with the winner, Petite Malle (USA), ridden by George Wood.
Kelly was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Wood to be intimidated off his intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Duke of Yorkie (IRE), placed fourth, lost its left- fore shoe.
