W.J. Lee, rider of The Blue Garter (GB) trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up just before the stalls opened.
The Stewards interviewed Chris Armstrong, authorised representative for Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Hazel, in relation to an apparent breach of Rule 194.(ii).(f) in that he failed to have an authorised representative at the start to remove the red hood worn by his charge. Chris Armstrong, stated that this is a very new rule and they may not have been familiar with the finer details of it. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned Donnacha Aidan O'Brien on this occasion and advised him to familiarise himself with the rule.
