Nick Scholfield, the rider of Big Man Clarence (IRE), which was pulled up after jumping the fourth-last hurdle, had failed to dismount the gelding for the entirety of the home straight when it appeared to have gone lame.
The rider, the trainer Paul Henderson and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed and recordings of the incident were viewed.
The Veterinary Officer stated that a post-race examination revealed Big Man Clarence (IRE) to be lame on its left-fore.
The rider was suspended for 14 days.
