The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after turning in involving Givemefive, ridden by B.M
Coen, placed second, Lucky Question (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fifth, and Get Set Jet (GB), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, unplaced, where it appeared Get Set Jet had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
In his evidence M.P. Sheehy stated that he suffered slight interference from both sides when his mount was coming under pressure. R.C. Colgan stated that Givemefive was clear of him when he came across. B.M. Coen stated that his mount was a difficult ride and raced right when he hit the front. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Coen's mount was a difficult ride and that he had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing the incident and took no further action
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first bend involving Katonah, ridden by J.A. Powell, unplaced, and Lucky Question (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fifth, where it appeared R.C
Colgan had to check his mount. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence R.C. Colgan stated that he jumped well and was travelling to the bend when he could see Lucky Question running keen so he took a precautionary check. J.A. Powell stated that his mount was running very keen to the bend and he tired his best to keep her clear of the other riders. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by J.A. Powell's mount running very free despite his best efforts and therefore took no further action
