The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L.Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that L.P. Gilligan, rider of Kiltormer, had presented himself to weighed out at 2 lbs overweight which was not declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and from Paul John Gilligan, trainer of Kiltormer. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion, but were satisfied that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 195(i). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards issued a fine of ?150
