Formscan By Tom Weekes - GETABIRD may get favourite backers off to a winning start here having shown some very promising form in his two hurdle wins thus far. This is a step up from his Grade 2 win at Punchestown in January, when comfortably beating Mengli Khan, but he has done everything right thus far and has soft ground in his favour today. Kalashnikov was an impressive winner of the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last month when showing improved form on heavy ground. Testing ground would be in his favour today and while he seems to be thoroughly progressive, he was beaten by Summerville Boy in the Tolworth Hurdle in January, which is a concern coming here. Summerville Boy hasn't raced since that Tolworth win and while he too could be thoroughly progressive, he had previously been beaten at this venue twice before Christmas, and was beaten by Slate House, who has disappointed lately, in November.
