Upon leaving the stalls, Spring Ability (IRE), placed seventh, jumped right-handed, taking Highway One (USA), placed third, off its intended line, which in turn took Khazix (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Spring Ability (IRE).
The winner, Jafetica (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 19 December 2018, where the filly finished last of 11, beaten by 46 lengths.
The representative of Mark Johnston explained that the filly had benefitted from a drop in class.
His explanation was noted; Jafetica (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that the winner, Jafetica (GB), had lost its left-fore shoe.
Thore Hammer Hansen reported that Spring Dixie (IRE), placed seventh, was slowly away.
