Permission was given for All Agleam (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final ½ furlong involving Bazball (IRE), placed second, ridden by Clifford Lee, Ravensbourne (GB), unplaced, ridden by David Egan, and Queen Of Atlantis (GB), unplaced, ridden by Robert Havlin.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Ravensbourne (GB) hung left-handed away from Bazball (IRE) despite Egan’s best efforts to correct the filly, causing Havlin to have to take a slight check aboard Queen Of Atlantis (GB) against the rail.
Following the race, Clifford Lee, the rider of Bazball (IRE), placed second, and David Egan, the rider of Ravensbourne (GB), unplaced, both reported that their mounts hung left-handed.
Oisin Murphy reported that All Agleam (GB), which started favourite and finished third, hung left-handed in the final stages.
Robert Havlin reported that Queen Of Atlantis (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final ½ furlong and the Veterinary Officer reported that the filly bled from the nose.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Eminent Jewel (GB), unplaced, also bled from the nose.
