Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Martins in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday

Sorcha Woods stated that she was unaffected. W. Joyce stated that he felt pressure from both sides. C.D. Hayes stated that he switched left into a gap when coming with his run to avoid running up on heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (third offence) in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for eight racedays
The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Martins, rider of The Cola Brasil (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R.10.3(g) and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Martins, in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and having considered his record (first offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
