An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Gherkin (GB), ridden by Luke Morris, interfered with Moveonup (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Cieren Fallon, which in turn interfered with Tavrina (GB), placed third, ridden by Richard Kingscote.
Morris was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed up the camber without sufficient correction causing Moveonup (IRE) to be taken off its intended line, and resulting in Kingscote having to take a slight check on Tavrina (GB) which had also received slight pressure from Cobra Eye (GB) on its outside as it edged marginally left-handed down the camber.
At the top of the hill Ghepardo (GB), placed eighth, which was running keenly on heels, shifted right-handed giving Eastern Star (IRE), placed fifth, a slight bump.
In a separate incident but in the same place, Fard (GB), placed seventh, was awkwardly placed and had to be steadied off the heels of Tavrina (GB), placed third, which edged slightly left-handed.
After viewing a recording of both incidents it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Richard Kingscote reported that Tavrina (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run and hung left-handed.
William Carson reported that Daisy Green (GB), which was pulled up, lost action; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
