The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Nikki Swango, ridden by W.M
Lordan, unplaced, Glamorously, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, unplaced, and Von Krolock, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, where it appeared Glamorously momentarily ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. M. Lordan stated that he moved left as the horse in front was dropping out. K. G. Kennedy stated that things got a little tight. M. W. Hassett stated that his mount is not straightforward and rolled around. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found M. W. Hassett, was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended W. M. Hassett for two race days
K.G. Kennedy, rider of Glamorously, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a little bit tight for room inside the final furlong.
