S. Fitzgerald, rider of Morrie In D Quarry, trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout. The Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 272, interviewed S. Fitzgerald concerning the accuracy of his report. Having viewed a recording of the race S. Fitzgerald apologised for the inaccuracy of his report and with the consent of the Raceday Stewards he amended his report to state that his mount hung left throughout. The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ma Hoey, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Eoin Christopher McCarthy stated that running in this grade coupled with more favourable ground conditions had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Morrie In D Quarry, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
